Over time, I’ve built several plugins for the popular WordPress blogging and content management system. These plugins usually arise from moments such as “we need this functionality on a WordPress project” or “wouldn’t it be cool if our WordPress blog had this awesome feature?”- and now, here they are!
Hosted on the WordPress Extend plugin repository, these plugins are also available via your WordPress administration console’s “Plugins -> Add New” menu.
For more information about any of the plugins, click the links below to visit a dedicated page for that plugin.
WP Section Index
The WP Section Index plugin retrieves the headings from the content of the Page or blog Post being viewed, adds anchors to them and creates a neat list (in a widget) that allows the user to easily navigate the content, finding either the content for which they were specifically looking, or finding the content which they would find most useful. This list is also aimed at providing the user with a scope of what they aim to achieve by reading the Page or blog Post.
WP Hook Finder
WP Hook Finder is your assistant for developing on top of an advanced parent theme, theme framework or high-end WordPress plugin. Hook Finder scans a theme or plugin of your choice and lets you know of any custom actions or filters that have been added and which functions hook on to which actions or filters.
Matty Theme QuickSwitch
Matty Theme QuickSwitch makes it easy to activate a theme without needing to visit the “Appearance -> Themes” screen in the WordPress admin. A new menu in the WordPress admin bar lists all themes currently available on your website, with quick links to activate each individually. Theme QuickSwitch is particularly useful when developing or debugging WordPress themes, as it saves time in getting you to the place you need to be.
