I agree. When one gets older, one generally has more opportunities and avenues to support one’s passion. In terms of “the kids” though, I’d say that a possible solution would be to borrow from a friend, rent an instrument or buy one second hand. All of the above are viable options when starting out on an instrument. They also help if you’re unsure of which instrument you’d like to pursue (well, the first two options apply).

Either way, music is something that runs through our veins and feeds our organs. If we can learn to share create or perform it, and can share that knowledge with others, it is one of the greatest gifts that can be given.

The Agree: Well that’s just it really…i do agree. haha. You aren’t ever too old…i do sometimes feel that the older you get the less you think about your passions (unless your living them eg your job) and more about your job, money, security for your family etc But it doesnt take much to spark that passion again and the though never REALLY leaves your mind.

Where I have an extra/ different point of veiw:
I feel the older you get the easier it is to support your passion. Eg. I would love to play the sax and had the fortunate situation to have one i could use for a month and got no where. so you could say i gave up…but all it did was leave me deciding that i’ll pick it up when im 25+ cause then i would have saved enough to buy my own sax and go to lessons because the internet was proving useless =P

So in actual fact…i think im tryna say that: Being older gives you no excuse and its the kids we should be worried about…lol. kinda. ANYWAY…theres my 2c for what it counts!
